This is the first blanket forts album to be released in over five years. It consists of entirely live mixdowns, using blanket forts' trademark combination of a Nord Modular and an Elektron Octatrack, recorded during the first half of 2023.

Weighing in at only 32 minutes, it nevertheless packs a punch with lots of experimental sounds and off-kilter rhythms, Yet it always also maintains a warmth and accessibility, in a style that is uniquely and unmistakably blanket forts'.

I hope you enjoy this new chapter in the blanket forts story as much as I enjoyed making the album. Thanks as ever for your support!

Oh, and the "brick" motif comes from Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's Oblique Strategies: "Not building a wall, but making a brick". It was a very helpful guiding principle for the album.
